The lvd2 can even detect wich cabel that is the leader and wich is not. That's why you have to get real close to the cable before it turns red. It measuring the magnetic field around the cable and you can confirm it by holding it near a loudspeaker. Works perfect.

The older Tycos palm manometer is super accurate and built like a tank! When Welch Allyn acquired Tycos Instruments, the outside badging changed to Welch Allyn, but the dial still said Tycos. They are very sought after.

I have the 2AC but was not aware that is did not make a sound when I bought it. I have had it for almost two years and I have not had any contact issues. So basically no issues just wish it had the beeping sound.

The only problem is that the tip plastic breaks easily than other brands and its not waterproof. Other than that this is the best.
